What I keep

When you load a page here, the server writes a standard log line: your IP address, the time, the page you asked for, and your browser’s user agent. That is how any web server works, and mine is no different. I keep those logs for a short while to spot errors and bad traffic, then they roll off. I do not build a profile from them.

What I do not keep

If you use the comment fields, the name and text you type are stored so the comment can appear. I do not ask for your email unless a field requires it, and I do not harvest anything from it. I run no analytics script, no tracking pixel, no advertising tag, and no third party embed that phones home about you. There is no account system here. I am not quietly counting your visits.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own for tracking. The only ones you might see are the minimal technical sort a host needs to serve a page, and they do not identify you to me. If that ever changes, I will say so plainly on this page.

Who never gets your data

Nobody buys it, because I do not sell it. I do not trade it, rent it, or hand it to data brokers. I do not pass your details to advertisers. Your comments and logs stay with me and my hosting provider, whose job is simply to keep the site running.

Asking me to remove something

You are welcome to ask me to delete a comment you left, or to remove the log entries tied to your IP. Say what you want gone and I will handle it. If you want to know what, if anything, I hold about you, ask that too. I answer these requests myself.

Where to write

Use the contact page on this site. That is the right door for any privacy question, and I read what comes through it. Keep the take clean and the request clear.
